Scam alert

Dear: All members and partners of the Vietnam Notary Association.

Recently, we have recorded many cases of online fraud with increasingly sophisticated forms. To protect the rights of our partners and members, we would like to announce some important information as follows:

  1. Common forms of fraud:
    • Direct calls: Claiming to be an Association employee or claiming to be a specialized state official (Police, court, tax department, …) calling, calling Zalo directly to invite to buy documents, invite to register for professional training courses, request to pay fees, notify the listener is related to a violation of the law, … from there request to transfer money to a strange account number to appropriate.
    • Website forgery: Using website addresses similar to the Association’s website address with the same form as the Association’s website interface to commit fraud.
    • Scam emails: Fake emails requesting personal information, bank account numbers, OTP codes to appropriate assets.
    • Social network scams: Fraudsters use fake images and texts to advertise recruitment, request advances, or provide personal information.
  2. Recommendations:
    • Check information carefully: Before providing any personal information, carefully check the source and authenticity of the request.
    • Do not provide sensitive information: Do not provide bank account numbers, OTP codes, or any sensitive information via email or social networks.
